Ptolemy v1.4 (0.9 Mb)Morrowind Map (Vvanderfel and Solstheim) v1.1 (1.5 Mb)
Ptolemy is an interactive map for CRPGs that allows you to easily add, edit and find locations. It was originaly designed for Morrowind for which a fully populated map (covering Vvanderfel and Solstheim) is available.

Ptolemy uses a static bitmap as the background for the map, onto which you can place location markers. Each location marker can be given a type (such as settlement, cave or ruin) and can be assigned one or more factions (such as Dwemer, Fighter's Guild or Telvanni). You can then:
- Find locations by name.
- Filter the displayed locations by name, type or faction. So if you're trying to complete your Dwemer collection you can just see all the Dwemer ruins.

v1.4, 7 April 2005
- Added spoiler locations. Locations that are deemed to be spoilers (for the Morrowing map that means any locations not named on the paper maps included with the game) can be hidden by de-selecting the Show Spoiler Locations option in the View menu. This allows those that are new to the game to hide potential spoilers while still retaining the ability to find those locations if required (by either turning the Show Spoiler Locations option back on or using the Location Browser, which always shows all locations). The Show Spoiler Locations option is on by default. Morrowind Map version 1.1 or above is required to make use of this feature.
v1.3, 4 April 2005
- Set "Force System Video Memory" option to on by default. Feedback from Morrowing Summit suggests that it's a lot more compatible that way.
v1.2, 1 April 2005
- Fixed a bug in the map compression routine which could cause saved maps to be invalid. I've never actually encountered the problem, but it's fixed now anyway.
v1.1, 30 March 2005
- Fixed a bug which caused the map to be scaled incorrectly when it was zoomed to a level where the map was taller, but narrower, than the window.
- Fixed a bug which stopped the program remembering the zoom level of the last loaded map.
v1.0, 25 March 2005
- Initial release.
